Housekeeping and Catering Assistant

Based in Central London

The Club Department are looking for a Housekeeping and Catering Assistant to work in the Members Club area and flat. Duties will include ensuring the bedrooms are prepared and ready for use and all linen and staff uniforms are sent to laundry and replenished. This will be a permanent contract and the hours are 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

In addition you will assist the Club Steward and waiting staff with the preparation of tea, coffee and refreshments for meetings and offices as required, and assist with clearing and tidying of function rooms.  Ad hoc duties such as laying up the members’ dining room, cleaning silverware or helping with washing up will be required.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, courteous and a good team player to help us provide a first class service of food, beverages and refreshments to our members, staff and guests.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a catering environment, and a good knowledge of basic hygiene regulations. You will be able to work well under pressure, use your initiative, and follow instructions.

You must have a high standard of personal grooming, good customer service skills and a good standard of English.
