The Kennel Club is the national body which exists to promote the general improvement, health and well-being of all dogs through responsible breeding and ownership. We achieve this by means of various research and educational programmes, and our charitable trust. We are an organisation committed to promoting and protecting dogs’ varied roles in society and defending the interests of all dog owners.

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Digital Marketing Co-Ordinator for a 6 month Fixed term contract within the Marketing & Business Development department.  This department is responsible for all aspects of online and off line marketing, advertising, brand management, sponsorship and areas of business development.

We are looking for someone who has excellent copywriting skills and grammar in respect of writing copy for web, emails and social media posts and proofreading articles. In addition you will be writing, formatting and broadcasting html emails via an email marketing platform such as Pure 360, Mailchimp etc.  Other duties include:

  • Implementing Facebook advertising campaigns and making recommendations for future campaigns, ensuring all activity is strategic, integrated, targeted and measurable against clear campaign objectives
  • Assisting with planning and implementing social media strategies and digital marketing campaigns when required.
  • Managing communities located in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Providing monthly online reporting – using online analytics such as Facebook reporting, Social Sprout and email platforms
  • In consultation with the Marketing Managers develop and implement the annual online marketing plan for specified brands

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of English, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills as well as the ability to multi task and prioritise own workload. They will also have some knowledge of html, email marketing, social media campaigns and photoshop.
