How to join the Kennel Club

If you want to join the Kennel Club you can do so by becoming either a Member, Associate or Affiliate.

Why become a Kennel Club Member?

Members are provided with social facilities at the Kennel Club's head office in Mayfair where a club room and restaurant are available for members and rooms may be booked for meetings by Breed Clubs and Canine Societies. Find out more about becoming a Member by clicking on the link to the right.

To become a Kennel Club Member

A candidate must be proposed and seconded by members of the Club who have at least one year's standing, unless the candidate is an Associate (or Council Associate) of the Kennel Club of at least 5 years' standing, or the candidate has been an Affiliate and an Associate for at least 2 years and 3 years respectively, in which case no proposer or seconder is required

As a Kennel Club Affiliate you will receive: 

  • a subscription to the Kennel Club's monthly flagship publication, The Kennel Gazette
  • a loyalty card - this card will give you a 10% discount on publications* purchased from the Kennel Club show stand at all events, and direct from the Kennel Club - this includes Crufts  and  Discover Dogs tickets.
