Compulsory Microchipping – What you need to know

24 February 2016    10:00

It is now compulsory for all dogs to be microchipped and recorded on a Government compliant database such as Petlog. Petlog is managed by the Kennel Club and is proud to be the largest independent database for microchipped pets, securely holding the details for over 9 million pets as well as working with leading microchip suppliers. All dog owners in England, Scotland and Wales must meet the new laws on microchipping.

The new microchipping legislation does demand additional responsibilities for breeders, which is why we have been developing and improving the service that we currently deliver.

There are many benefits for your puppy buyers should you choose to microchip with Petlog, crucially that Petlog have over 20 years of experience, with added Kennel Club registrations benefits and ISO 9001 and 27001 certification. Petlog also works with the 12 leading microchip suppliers in the country and as previously stated, is the largest database for microchipped pets in the UK.
