Kennel Club Members
The Membership of the Kennel Club consists of a maximum of 1500 UK Members plus 50 Overseas Members and a small number of Honorary and Honorary Life Members.
A candidate must be proposed and seconded by members of the Club who have at least one year’s standing, unless the candidate is an Associate (or Council Associate) of the Kennel Club of at least 5 years’ standing, or the candidate has been an Affiliate and an Associate for at least 2 years and 3 years respectively, in which case no proposer or seconder shall be required. The final election of members is vested in the General Committee by ballot.
Members are also provided with social facilities at the Kennel Club's head office in Mayfair where a club room and restaurant are available for members and rooms may be booked for meetings by Breed Clubs and Canine Societies.
