Be a friend of the Kennel Club with the Affiliate Scheme
What is the Affiliate Scheme?
The Kennel Club welcomes an understanding of and an involvement in Kennel Club affairs, starting at Affiliate level. Becoming an Affiliate can be a rewarding and productive way of contributing to the Kennel Club’s overall aim “to promote in every way the general improvement of dogs.”
What will I receive?
As a Kennel Club Affiliate you will receive:
- a subscription to the Kennel Club’s monthly flagship publication, The Kennel Gazette
- a loyalty card - this card will give you a 10% discount on publications* purchased from the Kennel Club show stand at all events, and direct from the Kennel Club - this even includes Crufts and Discover Dogs tickets.
- a pin badge
As an Affiliate you are invited to enjoy a guided and informative tour of the Clarges Street Offices in London followed by afternoon tea. And as if that wasn’t enough, you can purchase an exclusively designed Affiliate tie and scarf. So why not sign up today and you and your dog can get more involved with the Kennel Club!
Who is it for?
The Affiliate Scheme is open to all.
Whether you are take part in Showing, Working Trials, Agility, Obedience, Field Trials, Heelwork to Music; whether you breed, are an owner, work with or just have a love of dogs – even if you have a dog or not.
If you want to support an organisation that invests in the future health and welfare of all dogs then this Scheme is for you.
How much is it?
An annual subscription of £20 - payable by direct debit.

* The Breed Records Supplement will only be reduced by 10% for the first year. After that it will revert to its normal price.
To become a Kennel Club Member
A candidate must be proposed and seconded by members of the Club who have at least one year’s standing, unless the candidate is an Associate (or Council Associate) of the Kennel Club of at least 5 years’ standing, or the candidate has been an Affiliate and an Associate for at least 2 years and 3 years respectively, in which case no proposer or seconder shall be required.
