Qualifications

The winner of the 2006/07 Championship is eligible to compete without qualifying.

A first place in an Open Field Trial for Cocker Spaniels which has taken place since last year’s Championship.

Day 1 9th January 2008

Directions to the Meet

The Meet at 8.30am will be at Anmer which is marked by a yellow arrow on the above map.

From Kings Lynn, take the A149 and then the A148 towards Fakenham.   Then turn left onto the B1153 towards Flitcham and Great Bircham.

The Meet will be signposted with “Kennel Club Cocker Spaniel Championship” signs.

Alternatively, follow the public signs to Sandringham Visitor Centre and the Championship will be signposted from the roads in that area.

At 8.45am there will be a briefing for competitors and spectators.

Everyone will walk to the trial ground and the trial will start each day at 9.30am.

Please note:  There are no catering facilities at Anmer but at the conclusion of the trial on the first day, everyone will go to the Visitor Centre at Sandringham, for announcements about Day 2, where there is a restaurant which can provide snacks or meals.  We shall go right through the day without a break and hope to finish by 2 pm on Day 1.  You may wish to carry a snack to keep you going.

Toilets:  There is a toilet in the vicinity of the meet and portaloos will be situated near the trial ground.

 

Day 2 10th January 2008

The Meet at 8.30am will be at the Visitor Centre at Sandringham.  Follow the public signs to Sandringham from the  roads around the area.

Catering:  The Visitor Centre will be open for tea and coffee from 7.30am on Day 2 and, as on Day 1, the restaurant will be open for snacks and meals at the conclusion of the Championship.

Toilets:   There are toilets at the Visitor Centre and portaloos will be situated near the trial ground.

Parking:  There is adequate parking at Anmer and at the Visitor Centre.
