Kennel Club News and Information 24/7 - You're in control!
Priding itself as the most prestigious dog club in the world, and the organisers of Crufts, the Kennel Club aims to communicate with everyone interested in the world of dogs. Excitingly for the first time ever, through their new enhanced website, www.thekennelclub.org.uk, the Kennel Club can now provide dog lovers with the opportunity to take control over what Kennel Club news and information they receive, when and how they receive it.
Four new ways are now in place for people to gain insight into the world of dogs and Kennel Club information. These methods are all displayed on the home page of the Kennel Club website and include Newswires, My Articles, Email Digests and Kennel Club News Feeds.
Newswires are similar to enewsletters with the difference that customers can sign up to the particular newsletter they are interested in receiving and also the format they wish to receive it in. The choice currently available includes general Kennel Club information, Crufts and Discover Dogs.
My Articles goes further by giving customers the choice to decide what particular subjects interest them. Therefore, when an article of their interest is added to the site a link will appear on their My Articles page. Customers can visit their My Articles page as often as they like to see what new articles of interest have been added or to re-read old articles.
The Email Digests are similar to My Articles but instead of the customer going to their page they can choose to receive emails alerting them to new content added to the site timed to suit them. This can be delivered hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
Finally the Kennel Club website can now deliver content through news feed technology, known as RSS, for the latest news. RSS - Really Simple Syndication; is an XML format used to syndicate the news and other regularly updated content of a particular website.
The new enhanced website offers as much in-depth information as before, but with a clearer layout, and new features, which provide more control over the information viewed and the options on how to receive it. Information from the Kennel Club press centre will also be included within the information sourced.
It is hoped the site and options will help and support owners and dog professionals alike as it covers a wide range of subjects from the lifecycle of choosing, owning and living with dogs, to breeding and working with dogs, to Kennel Club events and up to the minute information on all Kennel Club information. So make sure you check out www.thekennelclub.org.uk and discover what method works best for you.
