Kennel Club Requirements for shows/events - Working Trials and Bloodhound Trials

Licence

  • All Trial dates must be applied for in writing. On receipt at The Kennel Club a pre-printed licence application form will be produced and forwarded to the Club Secretary.
  • Licence application forms must be submitted to the Kennel Club:
    • Working Trials – 60 daysnotice required
    • Bloodhound Trials – 30 days notice required.

Schedule

Championship Trials

  • Two copies of the Trial Schedule must be with the Kennel Club 3 months prior to the Trial date. Bloodhound Trials excepted.

Open Trials and all Bloodhound Trials

  • Two copies of the Trial Schedule must be with the Kennel Club 1 month prior to the Trial date.
  • All Schedules must conform to The Kennel Club specimens.
  • Kennel Club Working Trial Championships excepted – no Schedule required.

Catalogue

  • A marked Catalogue must be submitted to the Kennel Club within 7 days of the Trial. This applies for all Trials. NB. It is essential that qualifying marks for the dogs placed in Championship TD and PD Stakes are notified to the Office.

Judges

Championship Trials

  • Nomination forms must be with the Kennel Club 9 months prior to the date of the Trial. (6 months for Bloodhound Trials).
  • All first time appointments must be applied for 12 months prior to the date of the Trial.
  • For first time Championship TD and PD appointments, the nomination should be accompanied by a completed Questionnaire.

Open Trials

  • The Kennel Club does not approve Open level judging appointments.   However, the Trial committee must be satisfied that the person is qualified in accordance with Kennel Club Regulation I.   Invitations to judge must include a declaration to be signed by the judge stating they are so qualified.
