Kennel Club requirements for shows/events - Obedience

Licence

All Show dates must be applied for in writing. On receipt at the Kennel Club a pre-printed licence application form will be produced and forwarded to the Club Secretary.

Licence application forms must be submitted to the Kennel Club 6 months prior to the date of the Show.

Schedule

Championship Show

  • Two copies of the Show Schedule must be with the Kennel Club 3 months prior to the show date.

Open & Limited Shows

  • Two copies of the Show Schedule must be with the Kennel Club 1 month prior to the show date.
  • All Schedules must conform to the Kennel Club specimens.

Catalogue

A Marked Catalogue must be submitted to the Kennel Club within 14 days of the Show. This applies for all Shows. NB. It is essential that points lost for dogs placed in Championship Obedience Class C are notified to the office.

Judges

Championship

  • Nomination forms must be with The Kennel Club 9 months prior to the date of the show.
  • For first time Championship Class C appointments, the nomination should be accompanied by a completed questionnaire.

Open

  • The Kennel Club does not approve Open level judging appointments. However, the show committee must be satisfied that the person is qualified in accordance with Kennel Club Regulation G. Invitations to judge must include a declaration to be signed by the judge stating they are so qualified.
