Summary of Kennel Club requirements for shows/events

Licence

All Show/Trial dates must be applied for in writing.  

Licence application forms must be submitted to the Kennel Club 6 months prior to the date of the Show, with the following exceptions:-

  • Working Trials – 60 days notice required.
  • Bloodhound Trials – 30 days notice required.

Schedule

Championship Show

  • Two copies of the Show Schedule must be with the Kennel Club 3 months prior to the show date.

Open & Limited Shows

  • Two copies of the Show Schedule must be with the Kennel Club 1 month prior to the show date.
  • Bloodhound Trials excepted.
  • Kennel Club Working Trial Championships excepted – no Schedule required.

Catalogue

  • All marked catalogues should be submitted to the Kennel Club within 14 days of the Show.   NB.  It is essential that points lost for Obedience and qualifying marks for Working Trials are notified to the Office.
  • Championship Agility Shows must submit a marked running order for the Championship Class(es) only.

Judges

Championship

  • Nomination forms must be with the Kennel Club 12 months prior to the date of the Show/Trial.  
  • For first time appointments the nomination should be accompanied by a completed Questionnaire.

Open

  • The Kennel Club does not approve Open level judging appointments.
