The primary objective of the Kennel Club is to promote, in every way, the general improvement of dogs. It is an organisation of international standing, committed to promoting and protecting dogs’ varied roles in society and defending the interests of their owners.

In July 2005 the Kennel Club achieved the acclaimed Investors in People Award (IIP). This award recognises organisations which improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of people.
