Lost Pets

Below are some helpful tips to help you find your pet, or reunite a pet successfully.

What happens if I lose my pet?
Should your pet become lost or stray for some reason, it is very likely that he will be picked up by the Police, Animal Warden service, or by one of the Rescue organisations. They are equipped with a special scanner which can read the pet's unique microchip number which will enable them to find your details through the Petlog database which is open and accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. They will then contact you direct and reunite you with your pet.

If you lose a pet it is likely that a local authority will pick it up. If a stray is found out of office hours, the local police station is the most likely place your pet will be taken to. Police and Animal Wardens will have access to the Petlog databases and will search for the details so that they can return your pet to you as soon as possible.
