The Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) is holding its annual conference on 14th and 15th March 2012 at the Copthorne Hotel Effingham Gatwick in Copthorne, West Sussex.

With talks discussing a number of subjects such as why animals are abandoned, fundraising, digital technology, rehoming, reuniting and controlling infection in the kennel/cattery environment, the conference will engage delegates in a variety of informative and thought provoking topics.

The conference is an opportunity to learn about new and developing insights in the world of animal welfare. The event is a valuable tool for breed rescues to come together and meet with like-minded people to learn and share experiences and ideas as well as find out about the benefits of membership of the ADCH.

 The ADCH is a dog and cat welfare organisation which provides a communication link between charities, and the conference is open to all breed rescue societies. The conference runs over two days and includes speakers from the Blue Cross, Dogs Trust, RSPCA and Wood Green amongst others. The Kennel Club is a member of the ADCH and will be in attendance.

The Kennel Club jointly runs health screening schemes with the British Veterinary Association and through the Charitable Trust, funds the Kennel Club Genetics Centre at the Animal Health Trust, which is at the forefront of pioneering research into dog health.
