Petlog, the UK’s largest microchip database is using the power of YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to educate the pet owning public about National Microchipping Month and their campaign to get pet owners registered on Petlog to update their pets' microchip contact details online for free through June.
Joanna said: “It’s so exciting and a great campaign. It has made me think that I had better check that our dog Daisy’s contact details are up to date. James and I never normally work together so I was a little nervous but it was lots of fun.”

National Microchipping Month
June is National Microchipping and to help launch this years campaign Joanna Page and James Thornton came together to produce a fun video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSs7qg0z89M
Throughout National Microchipping Month, details can be updated for free in June with Petlog online. A reduced cost applies for all changes made over the phone or via post (one off amendment only).
Petlog Premium lifetime service is available for a reduced cost of £7.50 throughout June 2011 (normally £10).
The fee for changing details is normally applied as it is the main source of funding for microchip databases. The cost charged for microchipping a pet goes to the implanter to cover their cost, and it includes only a very small fee of around £1 to cover the database costs for initial registration.
