£50,000 towards the purchase of a replacement Linear Accelerator for the Veterinary Cancer Therapy Unit.
The Department of Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge is at the forefront of veterinary science and education and is a centre of excellence for teaching and research. Their mission is to improve the prevention and treatment of diseases of animals.
At the end of 2005 the Charitable Trust donated £50,000 towards the purchase of a replacement Linear Accelerator for the Veterinary Cancer Therapy Unit. The Trust are well aware that, sadly, cancer is the major single cause of premature death in dogs and hope that by this donation they will help to make a small impact on research efforts in this field.
