This month the Building is being treated to a high level spring clean to blow away those dog hairs ready for a host of exciting and new events coming its way.

The Trustees of the Kennel Club Educational Trust is pleased to announce that the Building is undertaking a mini make-over and a smart; new Hall floor is being installed.  It is still totally dog friendly and work will be completed ready for the first show on 20th May – Coventry & District Kennel Association.

The Kennel Club Educational Trust, KCET, would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported such a fast moving project.  Customer feedback to date has been overwhelmingly positive and the KCET continues to make a number of improvements to make the Building stand out from neighbouring competitors, this year this included the introduction of ring posts.

Throughout the year the Kennel Club Building hosted a number of Kennel Club Educational Seminars helping to meet the Kennel Club strategic objectives of improving canine health and welfare and encouraging the development of all those concerned with dogs through education and training.

•    Canine Eye Health Symposium
•    Kennel Club Breed Health Coordinators’ Seminar
•    High Profile Best of Breed Veterinary Checks Meeting
•    Coat Testing Consultation
•    KCAI Regional Mentors Meeting
•    Commentators Training Day

In addition to the above the following events were particularly noteworthy:

Repairs to the walkways and car parks around the Building
The KCET is still negotiating with Jones Lang LaSalle, the owner of the Showground, regarding better quality parking for its visitors. The areas in need of attention in the car park and walkway have been repaired once already, but unfortunately due to this space being used constantly by agricultural farm traffic does revert back to its original state quite quickly.

The KCET are doing everything they can to negotiate a better solution so that visitors can park safely and near to the Kennel Club Building.
