New email service for clubs and societies - 10 April 2012
With the cost of postage set to rise shortly, the Kennel Club Canine Activities Team is now able to accept annual returns, show schedules and marked up Limit and Open Show catalogues from registered societies and clubs via email. However, currently all Championship Show catalogues must still be sent via the post.

Kennel Club introduces more stringent criteria for Working Trials Championship Judges - 19 March 2012
The Kennel Club’s Activities Sub-Committee, with the approval of the General Committee, has introduced more rigorous criteria that prospective judges will have to meet before being approved to judge the Championship TD (Tracking Dog) and PD (Patrol Dog) Stakes in Working Trials. The criteria are intended to ensure that the highest standards of judging continue to apply to stakes where Championship ‘tickets’ are awarded.

German CACS to be offered at German and British dog festivals - 21 February 2012
Following a review of the previously announced decision regarding the forthcoming German and British Dog Festival Celebrating German Breeds, which is taking place in conjunction with the Birmingham Dog Show Society National Dog Show in May, German CACs will now be on offer alongside Kennel Club CCs in each of the German breeds competing.

A43 Disciplinary Case - 17 February 2012
At its meeting on 10th January 2012, the Disciplinary Sub-Committee considered the conviction of Miss R Mortimore of Taunton, Somerset, from the Taunton Deane and West Somerset Magistrates Court in July 2011 (and upon Appeal at the Taunton Crown Court in October 2011) for offences contrary to the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

The Kennel Club is currently organising qualifiers at Agility shows during 2011 to find finalists to compete at dfs Crufts in March 2012. The majority of these qualifying heats will continue to be held at the shows which staged them during 2010, but the option for a further Agility club to host a heat has become available.
Early and Late Starts at dfs Crufts 2011 - 3 February
The Kennel Club and Crufts Committee wish to thank all the exhibitors for dfs Crufts 2011 for their support in giving a total of 21,422 dogs entered into breed judging plus entries in the Breeders Competition, Agility and Obedience Championship. The entry has resulted in a number of breeds starting at 8.30 a.m. and some starting later at 10.00 a.m. The majority of breed judging will begin at 9.00 a.m.

At the request of the Bull Terrier Breed Clubs, the Kennel Club has agreed that it will no longer accept the registration of any merle Bull Terrier puppies produced from matings which take place on or after 1st March 2011.
