The thrice yearly event attracts discerning customers looking to source unique arts and antiques and the Kennel Club Art Gallery will be showing a small selection of its vast collection of dog inspired art and objects, both classic and modern.

The Kennel Club has been actively involved with the welfare of dogs for over 130 years and boasts the largest collection of dog paintings in Europe. The Kennel Club Art Gallery stand will offer visitors the chance to see a versatile, informative and imaginative collection of work on the subject of man’s best friend.

The Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair takes place in Battersea Park from 28th September to 3rd October 2010. The Kennel Club is one of over 140 exhibitors at the Fair but is there simply to exhibit rather than to sell.

Luisa Pontello, Assistant Collections Manager at the Kennel Club Art Gallery said: “We are delighted to take part in the Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair and look forward to opening our extensive collection up to people who may not have previously known about it.”

For dog lovers who would like to purchase a unique piece of canine art, the Kennel Club Art Gallery will be hosting ‘The Kennel Club Christmas Art Fair’ this winter. A number of well known contemporary dog artists have been invited to display their work at the Kennel Club Art Gallery in Mayfair and visitors will be able to purchase the work. The exhibition runs from December 1st 2010 to January 7th 2011.
