Starters Cup Agility Finals Move to Discover Dogs

The prestigious Kennel Club Starters Cup Agility Finals will this year take place at London’s leading dog event, Discover Dogs, which takes place at Earls Court on November 14th and 15th.

The Starters Cup is a showcase for some of the most talented newcomers in Agility – the ‘rising star’ handlers and dogs who have recently entered the sport and are the potential Agility champions of the future.

Dogs and handlers qualified to compete via the Starters Cup classes at the KC International Agility Festival, the largest agility competition in the world, which was held from 14th-16th August this year at Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire.

The Starters Cup is for beginner dogs competing in Grade 1 and Grade 2 in the UK or the equivalent overseas classes (e.g. Grade 1 under FCI rules or Novice in the USA).

Caroline Kisko, Communications Director at the Kennel Club, commented: “Discover Dogs is a celebration of the many roles dogs play in our society, and the Starters Cups Finals is the time to shine for the rising stars of agility, both dogs and handlers.

“Agility is the fastest growing dog sport and these Finals will help to highlight the potential winners of the future.”
