The Kennel Club has been holding its Regulations & Judging Procedure Seminar and Examinations since 2004, as part of its strategy to raise standards in all aspects of canine activity. It is compulsory for anyone judging at Working Trials for the first time, or those who will be submitting questionnaires, to first pass this examination in order to be able to award Kennel Club Working Trial Certificates.

Since 2008, 56 individuals have taken and passed the examination and the Kennel Club would like to congratulate these people who have reached the highest level of achievement in their chosen discipline.

Caroline Kisko, the Kennel Club’s Communications Director, said: “The Kennel Club is committed to providing the highest possible standards in canine competitions. Our seminars and examinations are at the heart of driving up quality and creating a level playing field for all. We would like to congratulate the judges who have met the Kennel Club’s exacting requirements to judge in these competitions.”

Societies are reminded that attending the Regulations and Judging Procedure Seminar and passing the relevant examination is only one section of the judging criteria. It is up to each individual society to ensure any judge invited fulfils all the necessary criteria.
