KCHFF logoFunds to develop new DNA tests for inherited conditions

  • This Fund is part of The Kennel Club Charitable Trust
  • It is designed to help Breed Clubs and scientists work together to develop research programmes that will result in new DNA tests for inherited conditions
  • The Fund will supplement money raised by Breed Clubs and Councils towards the cost of research
  • Applications for funding will be assess by an independent panel and decisions will be based solely on scientific merit and the likelihood of a successful outcome
  • Breed Clubs that are numerically small and have limited capacity to raise their own research funds will have equal access to future DNA research that will benefit their breed
