This Christmas, a selection of leading contemporary artists will be displaying their canine artwork for sale at the Kennel Club’s Christmas Art Fair, with proceeds being donated to the Kennel Club Arts Foundation.

The Kennel Club Art Fair will be held at the Kennel Club Art Gallery, 1-5 Clarges Street, Piccadilly, London, from the 1st December 2008 until 9th January 2009.

The artists to be featured at the Christmas Art Fair will be Richard Ager, Rosemary Cook, Sue Driver, Lorraine Gray, Jessica Holm, Caroline Howlett, Nicky Jones, Sheena McCall, Imogen Man, Pollyanna Pickering, Pauline Smith, Gary Stinton, Timothy Sutton, Pippa Thew and Dave White.

Visitors will have a chance to explore some creative and artistic pieces of work and find the perfect gift for a dog lover, or simply take a look at the work of some exciting new artists in the canine field.

All of the Christmas Art Fair work will be available for sale, with the Kennel Club giving its commission on these pieces to the Kennel Club Arts Foundation.

Established in 2006, the Kennel Club Arts Foundation was formed to create an archive of important pieces of canine art, literature and artefacts. These items will be preserved and made available for the enjoyment of future generations alongside the Kennel Club’s current collection.

To get into the Christmas spirit, those visiting the fair will be treated to mince pies and coffee to enjoy as they explore the many wonderful pieces of canine art.

The Kennel Club Art Gallery is open Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 4.30pm. The nearest tube is Green Park. For more information, please telephone 020 7518 1064 or e-mail artgallery@thekennelclub.org.uk.
