Outward Bound Development Courses
Outward Bound Development Courses are a fantastic opportunity for Young Kennel Club members aged 16-24 years to develop invaluable life skills as well as forging lifelong friendships with like minded canine enthusiasts. The five day course is packed full with a variety of challenging mental and physical activities, which are specifically designed to help young people develop self esteem, self confidence and provide an overwhelming sense of achievement.
The Kennel Club sponsor this initiative in order to enable young people to become involved in the management of all activities connected with dogs. By encouraging members to complete the course the Young Kennel Club in turn can utilise the skills which they have learnt and transfer these skills at events such as Crufts, National Training Camp and Activity Weekends.
* Please note, although physical activities are involved in the programme, the initiative is based around team work and no individual will have to participate in any pursuit with which they are uncomfortable.
