Dogs take centre stage in Taunton & District Canine Association Premier Open Show
The Taunton & District Canine Association will be holding its Premier Open Dog Show for all dog breeds in conjunction with the Royal Bath & West Show at the Royal Bath & West Showground on 28 – 30 May. Top dogs from the local area will go head to head against other leading dogs from the length and breadth of the country and beyond.
This year the show has attracted a bumper entry of 1,166 dogs, all competing for the highly coveted ‘Best in Show’ award. Some of the successful winners will qualify to compete at the greatest and largest dog show in the world, Crufts, held annually at the NEC, Birmingham.
There will be plenty to entertain the general public from watching the judges make their difficult decisions, to seeing the many dogs first hand. Visitors are warmly welcomed, and will enjoy browsing the trade stands at the show which sell a variety of gifts for dogs and people alike!
If you would like to experience the fascinating world of showing man’s best friend for yourself, come along on the 28 – 30 May. If you would like to find out more information about the show please contact Mrs Jackie Norris on 01823 275908. Admission at the show is £20 for adults, £18 for OAPs and £6 for children. Children under 5 go free.
