Companion Dog Shows Policy Information for shows held in England
Public Liability Insurance for only £10 (inclusive of insurance premium tax at 5%)
The Kennel Club is delighted to offer organisers of Companion Dog Shows an affordable PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE for your Companion Dog Show, and at a low cost premium of only £10 (inclusive of insurance premium tax at 5%) it is very affordable.
All Kennel Club licensed events must be covered by public liability insurance which must be in place on the day of the show.
Up to £2.5 million Public Liability Insurance will cover you:
- If property or buildings you have leased or rented are damaged.
- If a person or animal is killed, injured or falls ill, as a result of an incident happening at a Kennel Club licensed Companion Dog Show.
- In the event of damage or injury from branded goods, food or drink you have supplied at the show.
- This policy will also include cover for:
Any compensation and costs awarded against you by a court if it decides you are legally responsible for the incident.
Legal costs and expenses for legal representation at a magistrate’s court, coroner’s inquest or inquiry.

If you wish to take out this insurance cover together with your licence fee, please enclose a cheque for the TOTAL amount of £20 (Licence & Insurance), made payable to ‘The Kennel Club’.
