The Kennel Club has responded to requests from a number of agility competitors asking for a ruling on whether individuals are permitted to enter the FCI Agility World Championships in Finland this year.

There is no provision within the FCI competition for individuals to enter the event without the support of their national kennel club. The Kennel Club has agreed to send a team, on the proviso that competitors meet the expense of travelling and entering themselves. In order to select a team of up to nine dogs and handlers, a qualifying competition for those interested in competing at the FCI World Championships will take place on Monday 28^th July 2008 near Rugby.
