Activity Weekends 2008
The YKC now offers training opportunities to all members across the UK in the form of Activity Weekends. We have forged links with a number of shows that have kindly agreed to provide facilities for members to both compete and train their dogs.
Bournemouth Activity Weekend: 9-10 August 2008
Summer holiday fun!! Come along to the Bournemouth Activity Weekend in August held at the Bournemouth Canine Association Show in Brockenhurst (New Forest). It is a lovely location and will be a great weekend to come along and train your dog either for the day or the weekend and enter a Crufts Qualifier competition too. The closing date has now been extended.

Welsh Kennel Club Activity Weekend: 15-17 August 2008
Come along and train your dog at our activity weekend at Welsh Kennel Club Show in Builth Wells, Powys. A fun packed three days which includes training, Crufts Qualifiers and also a social evening.

Newark Activity Weekend: 1-2 November 2008
The Newark Activity weekend is fast becoming our most popular activity weekend with a record number of members old and new attending each year. Held at Newark and Nottinghamshire showground, the venue is set in over 80 acres of land and is capable of hosting large training rings for all the exciting disciplines available.
How much does training cost?
Training costs £10 per day, and competition entry fees are £2 per competition.
How are the activities structured?
Training and competitions take place during morning and afternoon sessions. Members can either come for the day or if there are facilities on site, stay for the duration.
Where can families stay?
Some of the shows have facilities for caravans and tents. Please contact the relevant secretary if you would like to book accommodation.
