The Kennel Club has a dedicated Public Affairs team committed to campaigning and lobbying across the UK and Europe for canine issues as the voice of dog owners.

    An on-going campaign to improve the health of all dogs
  • Puppy Farming
    Campaigning to end the cruel business of puppy farming
  • 'Dangerous Dogs'
    Working towards non-breed specific legislation to 'deal with the deed not breed' and put responsibility at the owner’s end of the lead 
  • KC Dog and Access
    A national campaign to protect local access for dog walkers
  • 'Open for Dogs'
    Encouraging local businesses to welcome dogs through their doors
  • Electric Shock Collars
    Campaigning for a ban on the use of electric shock devices
  • Compulsory Microchipping
    Promoting compulsory microchipping as part of responsible dog ownership
  • Dog Meat
    Campaigning on ending the commercial production and sale of dog meat
  • Animal Testing
    Campaigning on decreasing the use of animals in scientific research
