From its beginnings in agriculture a hundred years ago and now as part of Sweden’s largest financial institution, Agria has grown to become the leading name in pet insurance in Scandinavia.

Agria’s success has been built upon its underlying commitment to understanding and providing for the needs of dog owners and breeders alike. Just like their customers, the people who work at Agria are passionate pet lovers and owners themselves.

These high standards of practice and quality of service resulting from this corporate culture have already earned Agria recognition in the UK. In its role as exclusive provider of pet health insurance services to the Kennel Club, Agria’s pet and breeder insurance product development has benefited from sharing the Kennel Club’s special understanding of the pet owning and dog breeding communities.

New Agria Pet Insurance Managing Director, Jonas Derninger said: “It is an exciting time to take the reins of the company, which  has already and continues to introduce some truly innovative customer-focused product developments through working with the Kennel Club. The launch of the new Kennel Club Breeder Plan was the result of listening to what breeders wanted from an insurance policy, which can be tailored to their individual needs, and includes fertility and pregnancy cover.”

Agria confirmed its commitment to the UK canine community earlier this year by announcing that it would become the new official supporter of the national and international Junior Handling competitions.

The International Junior Handling Final will take place at Crufts 2009 in March, bringing together over 30 young, aspiring dog enthusiasts from around the globe to compete for the ultimate title.
