A particular attraction of the annual festival is that it is open to any dog, as long as it is registered on one of the Kennel Club’s registers - Breed or Activity - making it the only world-class agility competition to be open to pedigrees, rescue dogs and crossbreeds alike. Everyone gets a chance to compete, and for the best there is the opportunity of securing a place at Crufts or at Discover Dogs. Competitors will again be able to spend the weekend camping on site and a wide range of trade stands are expected offering goods for both humans and dogs, all adding to the festival fun!
The event also welcomes back our principal sponsor in the form of PRO PLAN, a complete, high quality dry food. Lorna Winter, Senior Brand Manager for PRO PLAN, says: “We are delighted that we are able to take an active role in supporting dogs of all shapes and sizes and to help the Kennel Club promote happy, healthy dogs. We feel agility is a great way for dogs and owners to share their unique bond and have fun together, whilst helping to keep both fit and healthy”.
The Festival venue, Kelmarsh Hall, is a graceful 18th century historic house, set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by its own working estate in the rolling Northamptonshire and Leicestershire countryside. Despite its rural location Kelmarsh Hall is easily accessible, being located less than a mile from Junction 2 of the A14 and only 15 minutes from the M1/ M6 junction. It is situated on the A508 between Market Harborough and Northampton.
